Dilruwan Rajapakse’s
professional journey is a dynamic fusion of Sri Lankan heritage and forward-looking global ambition.
Working
also as the Chief Executive Officer of Cosmic Technologies Pvt Ltd, he leads a multidisciplinary
enterprise
involved in aviation overhaul, government infrastructure, petroleum, and environmental solutions. His
leadership style is defined by precision, strategic partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to quality,
reflected in his receipt of the International Quality Crown Award (Gold) in London in 2015. Dilruwan is
also
the Managing Director of Sinopec Dilly Fueling Station in Nawala and has played key roles in several
sectors, showcasing his ability to operate at executive levels while aligning with international
standards.
His proven expertise in coordinating large-scale, high-stakes events is exemplified through his success at
global award platforms and his ability to enhance corporate visibility across various domains.
Beyond corporate leadership, Dilruwan has made significant contributions to public service and cultural
heritage. He has held several administrative positions since 2008, including Hon. Director of the Ministry
of Wildlife & Forest Conservation, and served as the National Coordinator for the 2017 UN Vesak Festival
in
Sri Lanka, which brought together over 1,600 global delegates. In a deeply respected spiritual capacity,
he
served as the Acting Basnayake Nilame of the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya for nearly three years,
managing major religious ceremonies and advising on sacred traditions. A proud alumnus of Ananda College,
Dilruwan plays an active role in the Old Anandians Professional Forum and the Old Anandians Sports Club,
particularly in promoting the legacy of the Battle of the Maroons cricket encounter. His engagement with
the
Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) further cements his influence in both business and civic
spheres.
Himesh De Ruberu
Himesh De Ruberu, often described as a
"concocter," is widely regarded as the go-to individual for transforming event concepts into impactful
experiences, handling everything from development and planning to stakeholder coordination and execution.
Armed with a strong academic background — including a Business Management degree from Staffordshire
University (UK), an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK), and postgraduate qualifications in
marketing and HR — Himesh blends strategic thinking with creativity and practical insight. His
professional journey spans over a decade with one of Sri Lanka’s largest apparel manufacturers, where he
held key roles in merchandising and marketing, working closely with global B2B clients and niche fashion
brands. This experience honed his ability to manage high-pressure environments while aligning corporate
goals with creative execution.
What sets Himesh apart is his seamless integration of passion and profession. A strong cultivation of a
unique reputation through his work with student bodies, alumni associations, and community organizations
with an origin story in event organizing dating back to his college years, evolved into a lifelong
pursuit, often being chosen by peers to lead event-related initiatives wherever he is involved. Whether in
operational or strategic roles, Himesh consistently delivers memorable, stakeholder-aligned experiences by
leveraging his corporate grounding, wide vendor network, and innate flair for creativity. With over 15
years of hands-on experience across various event platforms, event management isn’t just a career — it’s a
calling fueled by passion, precision, and a deep-rooted sense of joy.
